Our client, a nationwide Country House operator, is looking for a motivated Sous Chef to join their hardworking team based in the stunning area of Malhamdale in the Yorkshire Dales. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with fresh local produce to create simple, tasty and imaginative dishes. 39 hour working week over 5 days, with a ‘Live In` option provided, allowing you to potentially save upto £1000 per month. Cooking breakfast and pre-ordered dinner for the guests, will allow the successful candidate plenty of free time throughout the day along with early evening finishes and a relaxed working environment. Whilst this is a permanent position, paid all year round, you will benefit from having extra holiday when the house is closed throughout the end of November, first half of December and the entire month of January.

Requirements for being a Chef

- Passionate about cooking and developing your skills
- Excellent knife skills
- Experience at CDP level or above, cooking with fresh produce

Responsibilities as a Chef

- Cooking to the high standards set out by the Head Chef
- Adhering to all health and safety and food hygiene polices
- Work efficiently as a team to ensure optimal service
- Running the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
