Position: Cavity Wall / Loft Insulation Engineers

Location: Leeds

Duration: Permanent

Hours of work: Monday to Friday - must be flexible

Salary circa: £18,000 + overtime and production bonus

Position Overview

An opportunity has arisen to work for a leading company who specialise in the supply and installation of Insulation products for the Domestic, Commercial and Public Sector markets.

The responsibilities of the role include:

* Carry out a comprehensive internal inspection of all properties utilizing the pre inspection report prior to install in order to ensure suitability of the property and to reduce the risk of remedial work or customer complaints. Upon completion of install carry out a post inspection.
* Carry out a comprehensive external inspection of all properties utilizing the pre inspection report prior to install in order to ensure suitability of the property and to reduce the risk of remedial work or customer complaints. Upon completion of install carry out a post inspection.
* Ensure the install process is undertaken responsibly and with care to ensure no damage is caused to the property.
* Ensure a full post install check is carried out to make sure all works have been carried out to the correct standard and to the customer's satisfaction.
* Ensure all works are completed in line with industry and company standards to achieve the set quality targets.
* Liaise with depot and customers to communicate any problems or delays with the programme of works.
* Ensure all company Health and Safety rules are adhered to at all times including all team members.
* Ensure the correct equipment is used at all times and that all equipment is fit for purpose and inspected before use, reporting any defects to the Operations Supervisor.
* Complete a full Site Specific Risk Assessment (SSRA) and gas/flue check (cavity only) prior to any works commencing.
* Ensure all programmes are completed daily in line with company targets. Dropped jobs should be reported to the Operations Supervisor immediately and replacement jobs picked up.
* Train new starters and installers where required.
* Ensure the Company vehicle is in full working order each day by carrying out routine inspections.
* Ensure the company vehicle is driven in a responsible manner in line with company and government legislation.
* Ensure completion of an insulation report, detailing each part of the process, which is then signed and returned to the depot.
* Ensure a claim form/completion certificate is completed depending on scheme.
* Collect any monies from the customer where necessary, ensuring both the customer and the team signs to acknowledge receipt of the monies and return to the depot at the end of each day.
* Acceptance of working away at other depots when work banks and the business dictate it is necessary.

Essential qualifications & experience:

* A good working knowledge of the insulation industry preferably with installing experience
* Technical knowledge of cavity wall and/or loft insulation
* Experience of working within the energy efficiency field

* Current driving licence
* Excellent face to face communication skills

* Demonstrable experience of working without direct supervision, using initiative and working to deadlines
* Flexible approach to working hours due to the nature of the job
* Experience of working/complying with Health and Safety policies and procedures
* Is able to demonstrate a consistently high standard of customer service

* A C1 driving license = Optional
