Working with one of the most recognised and leading learning disabilities charities in the UK, we are recruiting for a talented support worker to work 40 hours per week in a wonderful day centre for young people and adults. Based in Godalming, you will be near to transport options, dining, and social activities for use after work.

Within your job, you will be helping your team to support service users with varying levels of learning disabilities and varying levels of support needs. You will also be helping to arrange and run activities within the day centre to engage service users and ensure it is beneficial to them. This may be through arts and crafts, arranging for film screenings, running games sessions and more! Your team are open to new ideas so let your creativity run free.

With your dedication, hard work and naturally caring and friendly attitude, you will be the best person to work within this setting and the best person to support the awesome service users day to day. Your ability to be supportive and manage challenging behaviour when this comes up will also make you well liked amongst service users and staff alike.

To be considered for this job, you need to have three key things; some previous experience working with learning disabilities and autism, an existing NVQ qualification in Health and Social Care or the willingness to work towards one and a genuinely caring attitude with a want to help vulnerable people. A drivers licence would be a plus but is not essential.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you will be offered a salary of £15,499 per annum based on working 40 hours per week. You will also be entitled to 25 days annual leave, a company pension, online discount scheme, further trainings including NVQ qualifications and the opportunity to progress further within your career.
