Due to our on-going success and to fulfil our plans for continuous development of the organisation, we are recruiting for a Maintenance Operative at our residential adult’s service and learning provision in Thorney, Peterborough.

About The Job:
We are recruiting for a maintenance operative to be based from our site in Thorney, Peterborough. Reporting to the maintenance supervisor, the successful applicant will responsible for assisting with the maintenance of the site.

Key Responsibilities:
A flexible approach to work, enthusiasm, self-motivation and prepared to work outside in all weathers and seasons.
Carry out minor maintenance repairs to buildings/fittings as required. Including: scheduled and reactionary maintenance tasks and involvement in improvement projects.
To comply with the current Health and Safety regulations and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Be able to work on your own initiative and as part of as team, taking direction from the Facilities Manager and Maintenance Supervisor.
Exercise sensitivity to the needs of the pupils and residents, and consider their safety at all times.

Essential Experience Skills & Qualifications
Previous trade experience is desirable (joinery, plastering, painting & decorating and basic plumbing), moreover, applicants must be practically minded and flexible with their skills.

Remuneration Package
The successful applicant will be offered a remuneration package that will consist of a basic salary of £19,500 per annum as well as comprehensive training and other company benefits such as; pension, life assurance & a child care voucher scheme.
