A vibrant, special Free School school based in Walworth, South London are looking for a SEN learning support assistant to join the team.

This is an ideal role and opportunity for someone who wants to work and make a difference to children's lives who may not have had the best start in life. If you are an experienced Youth Worker, HLTA or an SEBD Learning Support Assistant and who has worked in an EBD / SEMH setting within a special or mainstream school.

You will relish working with an excellent team of specialist teachers (including behaviour therapists) and LSAs who are committed to raising achievement. As you will be working with at times very challenging students you will also possess outstanding inter-personal skills, be sensitive towards the students' needs with a determination to nurture enjoyment and success for the students whilst expanding their levels of understanding.

The school supports tailor-made learning programmes for individuals and you will assist in the delivery of these enabling students to access the National Curriculum and promote the schools commitment to inclusive education. You will be an effective communicator liaising with staff, parents and external agencies.

This is a challenging and rewarding role and will suit the right person with the right temperament and skill in handling SEBD pupils.

To be eligible to apply you must: Be a UK resident or be eligible to work in the UK. Hold a current and up to date DBS disclosure. Have strong behaviour management. Have the ability to engage and enthuse learners. Be creative and innovative. Have drive and tenacity. Encourage students to reach their full potential.
