Our client currently have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Accounts Assistant, you will report directly to the Finance Manager within the Finance and Administration Department consisting of 6 members of staff.

As the Accounts Assistant you will take responsibility of the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Bank Reconciliations. You will also need to work to a high level of accuracy and have great time-management skills.

Responsibilities will include but is not limited to:

  • Sales & Purchase Ledger
  • Credit control
  • Transaction Processing
  • Payment Reconciliation
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • BACS and International Transfers including multi-currency
  • Petty Cash & Foreign Currency Management
  • Posting journals
  • Reconciliation of conference events income and expenditure
  • Assisting with month end duties and quarterly VAT reports
  • Monitoring of online sales Inbox and dealing with any queries
  • Company Card reconciliation against receipts and entering into sage
  • Providing support to the team for any ad hoc tasks that may arise

The ideal candidate will possess the following requirements:

  • Have a strong, sound financial background
  • Excellent attention to accuracy and detail
  • Working knowledge of Sage Line 50
  • Experience of Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and General Ledger is essential
  • Good telephone manner as you will regularly speak to both members and consultants
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/Outlook)
  • Ability to work as a team member and have a flexible approach to work
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Must possess the right to work in the UK and living within commutable distance of London

Ideally you will: Be studying towards a financial qualification (AAT or equivalent).
