Key Stage 2 Teacher
We are looking to recruit a Key Stage 2 - Year 4/5 Teacher for School based on the outskirts of Croydon. The role is offered on a permanent basis and will commence September 2017.
About the School
A average sized primary school based in Sutton, but located on the outskirts of Croydon. The school is fortunate to have four classes for children with autism. Not only does this contribute to the caring ethos of the school but brings in resources and expertise that helps support children across the whole school.
The school is based in a modern single-storey building with an Early Years Foundation Stage Unit. It houses a dedicated music teacher, library, OT room, sensory room, computer suite, a well-equipped playground including a trim trail and a wonderful sports pavilion.
Staff believe in educating the 'whole' child and have a wide and diverse curriculum which is not only focused on academic achievement but life skills, sport and the arts. Much use is made of the extensive school grounds and the children are given a wide variety of experiences both within the school day and through extra curricular activities.
As a Key Stage 2 Teacher Teacher you must:
- Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification that allows you to teach in schools
- Have experience of teaching in Key Stage 2
- Be able to deliver improvement goals outlined by the charitable academy sponsor
- Have a drive to succeed and a belief that children can achieve their goals given the right tools
