Lead Mechanical Engineer working for a market leading subsea manufacturing company

Your new company
Your new company is a well established dynamic, proactive company servicing the global oil and gas industry. They design and manufacture a number of complex Electrical Penetrator & Connector Systems They are now looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to support with the development of products within their connector division.

Your new role
In this role you will be reporting to the engineering manager providing support in overseeing multiple product development activities.You will mentor the current design team and manage any challenges the engineering department is faced with.You will review all design work and approve general engineering documents. As well as this you will lead development projects ensuring that you adhere to commercial targets. It will also be you responsibility to provide technical expertise to external customers and the internal sales department

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need to have a degree in mechanical engineering with a strong mechanical background. Ideally you will have at least 5 years experience in the oil and gas industry, or another highly regulated industry. You will need to have project management experience along with a working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D CAD package. it is also desirable if you have experience with subsea connectors.
