QUANTITY SURVEYOR – RESIDENTIAL CONTRACTOR – WEST MIDLANDS – Up to £45K plus package (dependent on experience)

Our client is one of the UK`s most successful Residential Contractors specialising in both new build and refurbishment projects in partnership with clients and for private sale. Their current project portfolio covers new build housing, apartments, retirement living, extra care and refurbishment works.

They currently have an opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with a solid background in either new build housing or housing refurbishment to join their dynamic, vibrant Commercial Team in Birmingham. The opportunity is mostly site based with projects throughout the West Midlands and running north into Telford, Stoke on Trent and Shrewsbury.

The Role:

• Supporting MQS or SQS.
• Hands on, managing specific schemes.
• Quantity Surveying duties; day to day cost control, cash management, subcontractor management, risk management, financial reporting (CVR/PPR), preparation in valuations (internal/external).

Desirable Criteria:

• Proven track record in Quantity Surveying within the Residential sector.
• Preferable bias towards new build project experience.
• Understanding of refurbishment schemes.
• Understanding of various contract forms.
• Industry related business qualification.
• Ability to understand and complete the CVR process.
