2nd Line IT Support Engineer

Salary £22,800 p.a. + bonuses, on-call & overtime equating to circa. £28,000 p.a.

You will be paid a basic salary of £22,800 p.a. plus bonuses, on-call and overtime payments that will increase your earnings to around £28,000 p.a. As a 2nd Line Support Engineer you will perform a key role in assisting clients with remote desktop support issues on an IT service desk. You will be required to troubleshoot customer's IT issues, respond to clients, resolve tickets by remote access, and provide first class customer service. You will be working with a diverse range of technologies that will enhance your skills and you will join a team of like-minded people in a friendly office environment.

2nd Line Support Requirements:

* 2nd Line Support experience working on a service desk is essential
* A background working for a Managed Services company would be advantageous
* Windows Server (Apply online only) (from a remote support perspective)
* Windows 7 & 8
* Active Directory
* MS Exchange
* ESXi/VMware Virtualisation (or similar)
* Microsoft Office Suite
* Networking knowledge covering LAN/vLAN/WAN technologies
* Excellent customer service and quality management skills

Desirable: IP CCTV; Proxy door locks; Firewalls; Broadband; MPLS networks; WiFi; Mitel telephone systems

Working Hours: Office based Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm OR 9:00am - 6:00pm (alternating weekly).
On-call shifts are on a rota basis include evenings, nights and weekends (distributed between approx. 9 people).
