The Company

First People Solutions are currently recruiting Site Managers for projects located in Edinburgh or Glasgow with a well-established specialist fit-out contractor.

Our client have been in operation for over 40 years and have built a strong client base across the fit out sector. They operate across the whole of the UK, delivering projects for a variety of well-known clients.

The Role:

As a Site Manager you will monitor all site activity against quality standards, productivity targets and deadlines. Additionally you will ensure that materials are ordered, stored and used in a cost effect manner. You will be responsible for identifying overspend and highlighting potential savings. It is essential that you are able to maintain control of sub-contractor time through itemising, programming and authorising as appropriate.

You will manage all site resources including labour, plant and materials as well as on-site health and safety and client customer service. As a Site Manager you will also be expected to take ownership of site issues and ensure they are dealt with promptly.

The candidate

Site Managers with previous experience dealing with education, commercial or industrial projects are preferred.

* CSCS card
* Detailed knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
* Project H&S auditing to drive safety standards
* Planning/programme management skills
