They are now looking to recruit a Housing Officer to work 21 hours per week to join them on a 7-month fixed term contract to provide an efficient and locally responsive estate and neighbourhood management service to customers reaching the highest possible standard of customer care.

Ensuring estate inspections are carried out on a regular basis, you will be responsible for (and supervise) contractors providing estate services to support their compliance with contract and specification and attend customer meetings in relation to estate services and service charges. Assisting, and working in partnership, with other agencies as necessary, you will be responsible for the completion of Welcome Visits for new customers and carrying out starter tenancy visits in accordance with the Group’s policies and procedures.

You must also ensure that customer participation and engagement activities are undertaken to improve satisfaction amongst customers and leaf several local neighbourhood plans ensuring customers are fully consulted and involved in any proposed changes to their services, scheme or tenancy.

With direct experience of Housing Management in a Local Authority or Registered Provider setting, you will have a background in the management of a varied portfolio of properties and the ability to manage conflict in a positive way. You will also have experience of tenant involvement, community development issues and current knowledge of all aspects of housing management and housing legislation.
