An excellent opportunity has arisen with an established Charitable Organisation for a Head of Service based in the Doncaster area. This exciting position is for a 3 month fixed term contract initially, but there is potential that the role could become permanent for the right candidate. The successful candidate will ensure compliance to specific standards, put strategic measures in place for the Registered Managers, promote quality as a central force in the organisation's strategies for success, process and manage relevant information and deliver a quality service to both staff and service users.

The Role

This is a very diverse role, and you will be required to perform a varying degree of tasks and duties. However, some of the key responsibilities are:

* To ensure that the service is compliant with Care Quality Commission at all times.
* To be part of the management team and contribute towards and co-operate with, the global management of the organisation.
* To carry out second line on-call duties for the organisation on a rotational basis.

* To line manage registered managers who are responsible for the maintenance of registration standards as laid down in the National Care Standards Act and as regulated by the Care Quality Commission.

* Promote quality as a central force in the organisation's strategies for success.
* Promote quality throughout the organisation and its customer and supplier networks.
* Be aware of the quality of performance, which customers and others require and expect.
* Assess the organisation's performance against customer requirements and expectations.
* Lead meetings to solve problems and make decisions - in accordance with agenda, content, time, and resource allocation.
* Respond appropriately to telephone and internal/external messages, and requests in line with agreed systems, policies and procedures.
* Maintain and develop contact and mutually beneficial relationships with sources who can assist the organisation.
* To deliver best quality of service to benefit of staff, service users and Autism Plus.
* To uphold and adhere to all Autism Plus policies and procedures.
* To liaise with all stakeholders in a manner which promotes good will and professional image.

* Assessment of need and assessment tools

The Benefits/The Reward:

* The position is based in the Doncaster area. This is easily commutable from Sheffield, Doncaster, Rotherham, Barnsley, Wakefield, Leeds, Huddersfield etc.
* This is a 3 month fixed term contract initially, with the potential to become permanent.
* The salary is the equivalent of £40,000 on an annual basis
