Our client is looking for a high performing B2B Business Development Manager to take control of the organisation's sales activity and drive the business forward through a new period of global growth. They are already the country's leader in their field and they are now looking to consolidate and build upon their status as their global expansion continues.
The successful applicant will have a solid background of account management and leadership and be able to plan, coordinate and drive sales strategies internationally.
You will be comfortable managing and mentoring an existing team to consistently deliver growth and you will have the autonomy to do this as you see fit.
You will report to senior management and have experience of working alongside to marketing and finance to set and exceed targets in a collaborative, joined-up working environment.
You will have a demonstrable history of successfully building sales relationships through a network of distribution agents.
As the company continues to grow through expansion and acquisition you will be comfortable taking on responsibility for the sales of new areas of the business as individual entities but also assimilating this activity into the work of the wider group.
You will be a self-starter who is eager to move things forward but who is able to do within a sustainable programme of growth and delivery.
The successful candidate will be comfortable with occasional international travel, however the majority of your time will be spent in the East Midlands coordinating and supporting your team as they implement your sales strategy.
A B2B background is crucial as many of your target clients will be won through relationship building and the testing of your goods and services so proven success in this style of business development is paramount. FMCG experience would be desirable but not essential.
