Are you a talented service manager with experience working within mental health services? Do you feel like it is time to make a move to a slightly more interesting role? This could be that new job for you!

Working with one of the leading housing and care services in the UK, we are looking for talented people like yourself to join this wonderful team as a service manager. This organisation has recently taken over 3 recovery houses based in North London and this particular one is for Palmers Green. The service provides 24/7 care to those with mental health needs living in the local borough. They offer short term accomodation of up to 2 weeks for service users who do not require inpatient support.

As the service manager of this recovery house, you will be overseeing a specialist team of recovery workers, resettlement workers and team leaders. You will be responsible for organising your team and ensuring all service users and staff remain safe at all times. As a good leader, you will be the go-to person for your team to come to for advice, support and guidance which they will in turn provide to service users through their care delivery. As the manager, you will be working a varied shift pattern which includes some nights and weekends. There is a regional on-call which is also managed by service managers of all 3 homes in your locality so you will become a part of this too.

Your excellent communication skills combined with your genuinely caring nature will go a long way here as will your supportive nature. Your flexibility and adaptability will always be noticed by both your team and the senior management team too and is something that exists throughout the organisation.

To be considered for this job, you should have a Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care Management or similar, experience working with mental health services and at least 2 years experience as a service manager previously or a deputy manager within mental health.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you willbe offered a salary of up to £35,000 per annum and a benefits package including 25 days annual leave, a generous company pension, staff discount scheme, pay reviews based on performance and career opportunities to further excel within your ongoing career.
