Associate Mechanical Design Engineer sought to work in Central London for a Partner owned national property consultancy, who have successful grown their Building Services offering to over 60 engineers since 2010. The successful Associate Mechanical Design Engineer will work directly with the London Building Services Partner assisting in leading the mechanical design engineering team who are engaged in range of projects providing technical expertise across HVAC Design, Project Management, Testing and Commissioning.

Typically, the successful Associate Mechanical Design Engineer will lead on larger projects within Residential, Commercial sectors valued up to £70m, while also overseeing a team engaged in smaller schemes spread across the Education, Healthcare, Residential and Commercial sectors. Clients range from work directly with end clients through to partnering with Architects (internal and external), and working with reputable contractors and developers. As an Associate Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be expected to undertake range of duties to include;

• Leading Design Teams through the whole design process,
• Establishment and development of client’s brief and agree deliverables,
• Utilise internal CAD / BIM teams and systems to ensure timely delivery of projects,
• Oversee and review installation of MEP building systems,
• Work closely with internal and external team professional project teams,
• Ensure design solutions and building systems meet building regulations and low carbon targets,
• Provide advice and guidance to clients on minimise the environmental impact and the reduction of their carbon footprint,
• Attend client presentations and meetings,
• Assist the partners in developing new opportunities,

To be considered for the role of Associate Mechanical Design Engineer you will have experience gained in the UK Building Services Industry designing the HVAC elements of projects from conception through to completion including calculations, drawings, specifications, etc. You will also hold an accredited Building Services degree or higher educational qualification (HNC/HND).
