I am actively recruiting for a deputy manager to join an established childcare provider based within one of their new homely residential service for adolescents with SEBD in the Black Country. You will be joining this organisation at an exciting time of growth and expansion and your new job role is expected to commence within the next few months.

You will be employed by a private, established provider of residential care and support on a full time basis. You will predominantly work Monday to Friday on a 9am-5pm rota with on call duties. You will be committed to covering shifts on the rota when needed to ensure the smooth running of the home. This will include covering evenings and weekends with sleep ins when needed.

The role of deputy manager will require you to work closely with the registered manager. You will lead the shift and offer support, guidance and advice to the young people within your care. You will work closely with the residential support workers and support them with their induction, continued development and ongoing training.

Most importantly, you will act as a role model for the young people within your care. You will support them to make sound life choices, promote education and access to employment and mentor them to develop independent living skills.

A compassionate, care focussed and resilient individual, you will possess proven team leading skills and be able to work well within a fast paced environment. You will have excellent morals, strong interpersonal skills and be a role model for the people you support

To apply for this vacancy you will have a proven background within children`s residential settings and be a highly skilled RSW looking for your next challenge or a skilled senior who would like a new opportunity. You will hold the QCF level 3 in health and social care (children and young people) qualification as a minimum and ideally be working towards, or be willing to work towards the QCF 5 in leadership and management. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.
