Trainee Physics Teacher

Are you looking for a paid route in teaching?

Do you hold a degree in physics and a strong desire to begin a career as a Physics Teacher?

PREMIER PATHWAYS is a school based teacher training programme that results in not just Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) but also a full PGCE qualification.

You will train for 2 years in a good to outstanding secondary school, where upon completion of the programme you will be offered a permanent Physics Teacher position and receive further support and guidance as an NQT.

You need to hold a 2:2 or above in Physics and C grades or above at GCSE in English and Maths as well as Science. It is not essential but highly desirable if you have some previous experience working with children, but above all a passion for physics and teaching in general is required.

*** Trainee Physics Teacher role
*** Premier Pathways 2 year teacher training scheme
*** School based, at one of South East London’s leading secondary schools
*** Full PGCE awarded upon completion of the programme
*** Physics Teacher position on offer at the school at the end of the programme

As the successful Trainee Physics Teacher, you will join the school in September and begin your role in a Teaching Assistant capacity. You will progress from assisting existing Physics Teachers to leading your own small groups and eventually planning and delivering lesson. All along the way the support will be extensive and from numerous sources. The school, the university and the programme leaders themselves.

Upon successful completion of the programme you will be offered a permanent Physics Teacher role at the school. Thus eliminating many of the stresses and strains faced by other NQTs starting in new schools
