A senior level opportunity for an experienced Production Manager to join an established manufacturing company.

Our client is a successful manufacturer based in the  Dumfries and Galloway region. The team are looking for an experienced and talented individual to manage and support development of their production facility.

Our Expectations

- Planning, scheduling, decision-making and problem-solving will take up a great part of your day, we are looking for a hands-on individual

Day to Day Tasks

- Managing all staff within the department, experience of managing 25-30 minimum needed
- Scheduling and adjusting all manufacturing work flow within the department
- Implement effective change management to improve and develop staff, systems and processes
- Effective time management and team delegation
- Working closely with the leadership team to achieve targets
- Striving for maximum efficiency throughout the department
- Establish process metrics and develop a system to achieve and maintain performance at targeted level
- Maintain health and safety standards and promote a positive health and safety culture on site
- Analysing and improving employee performance
- Departmental purchasing and stock control (inc. negotiating prices from suppliers)
- Maintaining and improving quality control procedures

Successful Applications

- Experience in leading large and diverse team
- Hand on, dynamic approach to leadership
- Someone who will constructively challenge and put forward ideas for improvement
- Good IT skills including experience of ERP systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Competence in planning and organising production;
- Confidence and experience in dealing with all staff issues including discipline, performance and appraisals action orientated and be passionate about achieving results by driving production through efficiency and process improvement.
- Knowledge of business, finance and management principles as well as the ability to review and comprehend financial reports is a plus.

Package and Benefits
A basic salary of £45000 to £50000 is on offer. All benefits are designed for an individual, the role is likely to include a car.
Pension is provided currently at statutory government requirements
Holidays are 22 + public holidays
A laptop and phone are provided as standard

Testing and Selection Process

Stage 1 assessment is a phone screening to confirm details on your profile, you may then be invited to a Skype Interview or face to face meeting. Typically 30-60 minutes at a time to suit yourself.
Stage 2 assessment is a McQuaig Word Survey where you will be required to complete a 20 minute (max) online survey – this provides the team with an insight into your leadership style and prompts further interview questions.
Stage 3 will be the completion of an online profile via I-Into. The team at Innov8 will set this up for you – we ask for a short video of up to 1 minute introducing yourself, and a photo. All of this information is shared with the client.
Stage 4 will be an interview, typically 1-2 hours, on site with the hiring manager. If successful you may be invited to a further interview
