A Student Accomodation Developer in Coventry is looking for an Acquisitions Assistant to support their Acquisitions Director in sourcing new opportunities and assisting with the smooth transaction when acquiring new development projects. Our ideal candidate will have worked within the built environment industry specifically within land and property acquisition. The role will have a commercial, student accommodation and residential valuation focus, involving inspecting and measuring properties in line with the RICS standards. This role is ideal for someone who is looking for their next step in their career and looking to progress into a managerial position in the future.

Your responsibilities as the Acquisitions Assistant will include:

* Conducting site/property searches, site/property analysis and potential land assembly
* Inspect and take accurate measurements of properties in line with the RICS standard
* Structure offer letters and submit offers
* Commission and coordinate planning applications of proposed developments.
* Take responsibility for the acquisition of projects from the earliest stages through to completion of transaction
* Assist in pitches, helping to win new business and agreeing the scope of instructions
* Keeping up to date with industry dynamics and market developments.
* To quickly understand and keep abreast of market metrics
* A good awareness of industry news
* Update client contact details, maintain regular contact and guild strong rapport.
* Liaising with other team professionals e.g. architects, researchers, operations, Directors and external consultants
* Have a commercial outlook and always be mindful of opportunities to improve client service.
* Able to work independently but strong team working skills are also essential
* Develop and maintain active communication with Managers and Directors in the Acquisitions, Operations and Development team.
* Attend external events to create contacts and identify business opportunities
