Team Support Midlands are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of their client for an Outreach Projects and Activities Co-ordinator to join their expanding team on a permanent basis.

Hours: Mon - Fri 9-5pm however you will be required to work outside of normal working hours from time to time (overnight stays may also be required on occasions)

Salary: £24,171 per annum

Role: You will be responsible for promoting and representing the College for building relationships with organisations and groups allied to surgery. Through the development and delivery of activities including meetings, regional forums, conferences, lectures and national competitions, you will work to engage with potential and existing Fellows, member and Affiliates.

Tasks: Develop, Co-ordinate and attend undergraduate and postgraduate activities and events to promote the College

Co-ordinate and administer the College's Affiliate Networks for students, doctors and dentists and activities related to the Networks

Co-ordinate and administer the Regional Surgical Adviser and Dental Advisor Networks and activities related to

Operate as the sole representative of the College when speaking to existing and potential new members at events

Assist in other activities within the Outreach section including providing cover for other coordinators

Assist other sections within the Birmingham Centre and the Membership Communications department

Duties: Responsibility for the management, co-ordination and delivery of career outreach projects which include

Student and junior doctor research and careers conferences throughout the UK

National Competitions

Regional lecture programmes for students and junior doctors Regional forums for Fellows and Members

Liaison with all stakeholders in the management of these projects

Management and co-ordination of the promotion of the college at external professional meetings and conferences including analysis of project successes and returns on investment

Administration of project budgets

Experience and Skills: Educated to Advanced Higher Grade - Degree/HNC/HND/A Levels

Proven Admin and database experience is essential

Experience of project or event planning and a practical understanding of good practice in project management is essential

Experience of budgetary control is desirable

Relevant work experience in a similar organisation or background
