Bluspec are now recruiting for a team leader, our client is a dessert parlour and is looking for the perfect candidate for this role.

Job Purpose

Leading the shift to motivate team to create a sale driven culture to deliver consistent operational excellence and sustained profitable growth.
The Team Leader aims to satisfy the needs of our customer by effectively leading the shift maintaining operational standards and dealing with customer queries and complaints.
This is achieved by planning, effective communication, coaching and building relationships with the team members

Major Accountabilities

o Follows opening, closing & shift changeover procedures ensuring effective handover
o Ensures the cleaning schedules are followed with all cleaning monitored & allocated fairly
o Checks the temperate of food and rejects when appropriate. Identifies underlying cause of issue and seeks to resolve.
o Following Health & Safety/Food Safety requirements and report to Line Manager if required
o Critical controls in place
o Follow company maintenance procedures
o Trains the team on brand standards.
o Complete end of the day procedures – Store in good order for shift handover/if closing store all door/shutters secure before you leave
o Prepares the shift plan and makes sure all unit equipment is ready for opening
o Plans and organises the team on shift to achieve targets
o Delegates tasks to manage the shift and maximises customer satisfaction
o Communicate by daily huddles in line with perfect site
o Leads the shift to motivate the team to drive performance through average transaction value, profitable sales and participation in Brand initiatives
o Supports induction and on job training of new team members
o Monitors staff performance and coaching when necessary
o Reviews Team Member objectives where applicable
o Escalates performance management issues as appropriate to line manager
o Understands operational KPIs
o Communicates goals and targets to drive performance
o Ensures company cash handling procedures are followed by all staff
o Controls wastage – Records and Reports, and identifies practical solutions for improvement
o Handles and records transfer of goods from unit to unit
o Conducts portion control checks, records and coaches as required
o Follows company procedures for ordering all stock using the EPOS system
o Complete weekly stocks using the company EPOS system
o Seeks opportunities to maximise both revenue and GP
o Coaches Team Members to improve sales and service
o Deals with customer comments, questions and complaints and resolves in a professional manner
o Ensures any visitors to site sign in and are dealt with politely and professionally
o Ensures unit product standards are in place using the dish specification

Role Requirements: Detail qualifications and experience needed to perform in the role
Previous customer service delivery experience
Experience managing a team
Previous experience of working as part of a team
Fluent standard of written and oral English
High level of attention to detail
