Michael Page are working with a homewares and furniture business who are looking for a Merchandising Administration Assistant for their offices in Chichester. This is a position that would be perfect for someone who is looking to start or continue their career in merchandising.

Client Details

This client are a homewares and furniture business with stores located across the UK.


Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Allocating new ranges of stock to retail stores
  • Accurately replenishing the retail concessions following sales
  • Being able to analyse numerical data to identify issues and interpreting trends to provide recommendations for the Merchandising teams, often on past sales and on potential future sales
  • Dealing with queries from Head Office, our retail partners and the Distribution Centre
  • Communicate effectively with store managers and AM's on stock control
  • Prepare sales reports when requested


The ideal candidate will:

  • be confident in working with large amounts of data with good attention to detail
  • knowledge of the basic merchandising principles - if you are new to merchandising, we will train you on the job
  • be organised and able to plan and prioritise your workload
  • have excellent communication skills and be able to work well within a team
  • have professional approach and be able to display self-motivation and enthusiasm for a career in fashion and merchandising
  • Highly proficient with Excel

Job Offer

Salary £20,000 - £22,000
