MedSolve are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant

Purpose of the role:

To keep the accounting records for the respective group companies accurate and up-to-date and provide support where needed.

Key Tasks

* Receive, record and process all purchase invoices
* Ensure all purchase invoices have been authorised and coded before entering onto the purchase ledger
* Receive and process all expense claim forms and requests for payments
* Deal with any supplier enquiries.
* Prepare invoices and expense claims for payment by BACS
* Post receipts and payments onto the accounting system on a regular basis
* Perform bank reconciliations on a weekly basis
* Post all sales invoices to the sales ledger and chase up non-paying customers on a regular basis
* Issue statements and monitor debtors listing and chase customers who exceed their payment terms.
* Provide assistance to the monthly management accounts processes
* Provide cover when needed in completing the weekly payroll spreadsheet for Medsolve Ltd
* Produce and Circulate Weekly Report of sales and placements, hours worked and income billed.
* Ensure that all filing is done accurately and on a regular basis

Personal Specification


2 years' experience of working within an accounts office

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including excellent Excel skills

Knowledge of Sage accounting software, or similar package

Absolute attention to detail

Strong oral and written communication skills

Strong team player, with a willingness to assist and learn from colleagues

Good Standard of general education

Able to prioritise work effectively

Good time management skills

Hours of work Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week
