My client is a leading motor insurance group who are renowned for their staff reward and recognition, and are in The Times Top 30 Big Companies to work for.
Due to the continued success and expansion of the company, they are now looking to recruit a Recoveries Claims Handler join there dynamic and forward thinking team. The main purpose of this role is the recovery of monies from third party insurers with a view to ensuring that all clients claims are professionally and swiftly dealt with.

Responsibilities:
• Pro-actively process claims in accordance with agreed principles and procedures.
• Identify and affect all potential recoveries from relevant parties.
• Responding promptly and pro-actively to enquires, incoming telephone calls and correspondence (by use of telephone, e-mail and letter).
• Maintain portfolio of work ensuring reserve management to ensure cost effective and timely settlement of all claims.
• Work within agreed claims processes in order to deliver the business plan in line with claims practices, procedures and philosophies
• Provide support to the Recoveries Team Leader by ensuring delivery of own performance against agreed objectives, KPI's and SLA's
• To adhere to Company processes with regard to FCA compliance and Treating Customers Fairly;
• To ensure that DPA, FCA & TCF and other regulatory requirements are met.

Qualifications:
Essential Skills:
• Demonstrate a strong financial awareness in terms of both claims reserves and business impact.
• Demonstrate an understanding and application of claims negotiation, liability decision making and cost potential
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• An understanding of legislation which affects Recoveries e.g. RTA, Article 75, Estoppel etc.
• Ability to manage and prioritise own workloads
• Demonstrates knowledge of market agreements
• Willingness to develop self and learn new skills
• Attention to detail
• Understanding of Motor Insurance
• Accuracy and efficient time management

Desirable Skills:
• Experience within Insurance/Debt Recovery preferred but full training will be provided
