Currently seeking a caretaker to start work in the Newcastle area

Based in West Jesmond.

Temp to perm role

Duties include:

* Carry out the various policies and procedures associated with the operation of the facility, specifically those relating to security and access, maintenance and repair and health and safety. This will include the security of the premise and its contents, lighting, heating of premises, handyperson duties, other duties arising from the use of the premises and assisting in securing the safety of pupils whilst in the school environs.
* To undertake the day to day operation and arrange for appropriate maintenance of plant and associated equipment. undertaking initial checks or inspections and the various administrative procedures relating to maintenance activities, energy conservation and anti-vandalism measures.
* undertaking the clearance of snow from all accessible areas and to grit as necessary. To litter pick in accordance with agreed procedures.
* porterage duties as required. This will include the setting out of furniture and portable sports equipment as well as distribution of supplies related to both facilities management and school curriculum.
* Undertake emergency cleaning duties as required during hours of occupation with the general areas including environs and grounds for example, removal of minor graffiti from walls and doors, accidental spillages etc.
* To carry out minor or temporary repairs and maintenance tasks with the competence of the operator or report as necessary in accordance with agreed procedures.

Relevant practical experience
Experience in working unsupervised.
Maintenance skills
The successful candidate will require a DBS Check

20 hours per week

Pay Rate £8.50 per hour
