Business Development Executive - Full Time - Permanent Salary £18k-£19k + uncapped commission

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client in Lowestoft, a small product supplier, who are looking to recruit an experienced Business Development Executive to join their successful team.

Working within the sales department, the main purpose of this role is to acquire and develop new business, be responsibility for the day to day management of assigned customers alongside ensuring that agreed sales targets are achieved.

Reporting into the Head of Sales, key responsibilities include new business development, client retention, networking, campaign services and much more. The successful candidate will be required to submit weekly progress reports therefore excellent attention to detail and the ability to track and record data is essential.

Other duties include:

* Grow and develop new clients through a variety of means, converting these into active accounts and managing these as appropriate
* Handle objections in order to achieve a positive conclusion
* Negotiating contracts in order to achieve maximum profits
* Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives
* Work with internal colleagues to meet customer needs
* Attend industry functions and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends
* Present to the management team and consult with them with a view to developing new services, products and distriubtion channels leading to an increase in sales

Essential Skills / Experience Required:

* Strong customer service skills (face to face, written and over the telephone)
* Excellent negotiation skills
* Previous experience managing a portfolio of customers
* Evidence of achieving sales targets
* Experience of reporting concise and accurate data
* Experience of working in a telesales/account management business
* Demonstrable experience using a CRM/Sales systems
* Willingness to travel as necessary
