Are you struggling to find a permanent, full-time social care role in the beautiful countryside of rural Cambridgeshire? Keen to gain some more specialist experience and training, such as Makaton? We have a vacancy for a compassionate, enthusiastic Support Worker to join our learning disabilities home in St Ives, near Huntingdon.

You would be working in newly (just!) opened residential service, with a real opportunity to 'make your mark' and ensure a fantastic level of care, as well as show your leadership potential! You would be supporting between 6 and 12 adults with a range of needs including learning disabilities and communication barriers. On a daily basis you would be key-working closely with the people we support and supporting them to achieve their goals.

This role will involve supporting the residents with everything from personal care and domestic duties, to accompanying on outings and trips into the community- one day you may be swimming, the next you may be supporting somebody at a hydrotherapy session!

The role is full time offering a guaranteed 36 hours per week, working to early, late and sleep shift patterns (no waking nights!). Please note this role does require flexibility to work weekends as our residents require support every day.

Requirements
- To be able to commute reliably to the service for the shift times specified
- Excellent communication skills
