Heritage Oaks Healthcare are working alongside a local Nursing Home based in the S2 Area of Sheffield.

We are looking to recruit a Chef to join their ever growing team.

You will be required to:

- Plan and provide meals for residents within the agreed budgets.
- It is agreed that when full capacity The Nursing Home will run with a maximum of 195 hours worked (per week) in the kitchen. The staffing shall be pro rate with less Residents in occupation.
- Ensure stock is maintained to a minimum level at all times.
- Control systems of food allocation to minimise wastage.
- Ensure there is no theft in the kitchen.
- Do not allow staff members to help themselves to food.
- Make sure that everyone entering the kitchen wears a white coat or apron.
- Ensure that the equipment is in full working order.
- Maintain a balanced diet and varied four-week menus.
- Ensure all Residents are listened to and appropriate action taken with regard to specific dietary requests.
- Visit all new residents to find out their likes and dislikes within three days of admission.
- Supervise kitchen staff and ensure that they are fully trained.
- Order provisions.
- Ensure high standards of hygiene are maintained at all times.
- Participate in social activities with residents as and when needed.
- Co-operate with Health & Safety Policy.
- Keep written records where relevant including the Hazard Checklist Policy.
- Participate in training.
- Check the hours worked by the kitchen staff and to authorise Payment. (using Timesheets)
- Any other Ad-Hoc duties that may be expected.

MANAGEMENT:

Chef report's directly to the Business Manager.
