A great opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a friendly Macclesfield company on a maternity cover contract, to start on the 12th June.

- £8 to £9 per hour
- Macclesfield
- Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm, with some flexibility if required
- Free Parking

This is a varied and busy Accounts Assistant role, with duties including:

- PURCHASE LEDGER - Posting on supplier invoices, credit notes. Reconciling supplier statements to ledger. Fielding supplier telephone calls. Helping to prepare the weekly supplier BACs run
- SALES LEDGER - Raising and posting customer invoices and credit notes. Chasing customers for payment. Posting customer payments onto the ledger
- CASH MANAGEMENT - Help maintain the companies computerised cash books. Bank and petty cash reconciliation
- GENERAL DUTIES - Posting manual journals to the nominal ledger. Nominal ledger account reconciliations. Incoming mail. Managing office stationery. General filing

The ideal candidate for this Accounts Assistant role will be:

- Available from 12th June for the full contract
- Experienced in a similar role with workplace experience of purchase/sales ledger and cash management
- Able to work well with others with a good general attitude to work
- Experience of VAT, EC sales lists, PAYE and payroll would be useful in this role, but are not essential
