Due to expansion, my client located in Telford is looking for a Materials Handler to join their busy team. The main perpose of this riole is to prepare material for the Milling process and maintain accurate and sufficient stock levels.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
•Maintain inventory of plastic and metal materials in good order, including organising, sorting and inventorying.
•Track inventory quantities.
•Perform and record regular cycle counts.
•Raise orders for material as needed on a daily base.
•Report stock inconsistencies
•Prepare all First Cut materials ready for scheduled jobs.
a.Set milling programme for skimming blocks, checking quality of tools ready for this milling operation
b.Operate power tools such as band saws and manual mills to prepare blocks of material
•Identify appropriate material for upcoming orders.
•Prepare and stage material for milling process.
•Maintain mills removing swarf, emptying swarf bins and general housekeeping of the production and racking area.
•Adhere to all quality and safety standards within the department.
•Maintain clean and organized work area with emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency, and utilisation.
•Continually seek to improve work processes and individual performance.
•Adhere to all company policies and operational procedures.
•Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
•Inventory control experience preferred.
•Able to comprehend and follow printed and computer-screen instructions, and direction from supervisors or technical leads.
•Good written and oral communication skills.
•Strong attention to detail.
•Experience with power tools (drill press experience an advantage)
•Able to work safely with sharp and heavy objects (e.g., utility knives, aluminium blocks).
•Able to use measuring instruments such as scales, callipers, dial indicators.
•Physical job requirements: Stand for up to 7.5 hours (up to 12 hours for weekend shifts). Reaching, bending, and grasping and manual Handling in line with HSE guidelines.
•Able to use a computer and calculator. Able to read and write in English, and do basic arithmetic.
•Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment.
•Must be punctual and have good attendance.
•Able to comprehend and follow printed and computer-screen instructions, and direction from supervisors or technical leads.
•Good written and oral communication skills.
•Strong attention to detail.
