The job in a nutshell

This is an apprentice role for 12 months with a view to a permanant position at the end of the apprenticeship. The purpose of the role istTo provide effective and efficient HR and Payroll administrative support in line within organisational policies, procedures and legal requirements. The successful apprentice will support the delivery of the HR Business Plan, in order to meet Directorate and organisational objectives.

What you will be doing

- To provide administrative support to the People Team, including all preparation of internal and external correspondence as and when required
- To communicate effectively with the Company on HR matters, providing support and guidance as required
- Support People Team with review process - send out invites and outcome letters as required
- Support People Team with Disciplinary and Grievance process - take notes when required, send invites and outcome letters
- Log and highlight attendance issues and send out invites and outcomes of meetings as required
- Filing and maintenance of Colleague files (hard and soft copy)
- Ad hoc administration as required
- Maintain and update HR trackers as required
- Analyse information in trackers and action/ liaise with Line Managers and People Team, as required
- Provide People Team with KPIs and data needed for monthly HR report
- Create and provide ad hoc reports as required
- Post job adverts on relevant websites once vacancy authorisation has been received and acknowledged
- Manage the recruitment applications, ensuring that candidates are communicated with; review, sift and log CVs before then sending them on to hiring Managers; request and log feedback from Managers; send correspondence as required; help organise and attend Assessment days
- Manage the New Starters, Amendments and Leavers process end to end - Prepare and send all correspondence, log and update trackers and HRIS, chase paperwork, liaise with Managers as required etc.
- Manage the attendance logging process
- Design and update letter templates as required
- Support in HR projects as required

What we expect from you

- Intermediate/Advanced MS Office skills - Word and Excel, in particular 
- Ability to build relationships at all levels 
- Superb attention to detail 
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
