Brook Street (UK) Ltd is currently recruiting for a permanent Production Operative for our client in the Dungannon/ Moy Area.

Our client is an established, successful business we`ve been working with for the past few years and, due to expansion opportunities in their market, they have approached Brook Street (UK) Ltd to assist them in developing their production team.

The main duties for this role are as follows .
Adhere to Company Health, Safety and Hygiene rules and regulations.
Ensure a clean as you go policy is maintained always keeping the work area clean and tidy in line with Company policy and efficient working practices.
Ensure pre-pack line is adequately serviced with boxes, customer crates, pallets etc, prior to packing commencement.
Ensure that stock is rotated effectively using the First in First out (FIFO) system unless authorized to do otherwise by management.
Ensure stock are well presented in packs and are following customer specifications reporting any non-compliance to the Line Leader or Quality Team.
Ensure Product Quality meets customer specification always.
Ensure that labels are correctly placed on packs, and the information on labels is correct and clearly legible. Any non- compliance should be reported to the Line Leader.
Check seal integrity on the packs randomly.
Ensure product is not subjected to time/temperature abuse or any other form of abuse or mishandling.
Pack over wrapped punnets into outers per customer specifications.
Ensure crates with missing handles are isolated and removed from the area at the end of production. Ensure finished pallets have identification labels attached before going to dispatch.
Ensure efficient transfer of raw materials from chill to the packing department is achieved ad subsequent transfer to dispatch.
All operators should be competent in changing labels and wrap equipment in pre-packing department.
Ensure that Company procedures and practices in handling stock, packaging and waste materials are maintained.
Line Leaders will inform operators when end of shift is finished.
Actively put forward any ideas or suggestions you may have that would result in efficiencies or cost reductions.

*The ideal candidate will have previous experience working on a food production/packaging line
*Experience of working in FMCG environment

*Be flexible in approach to working hours

Desirable Qualifications Skills & Experience
*2nd Level Education/Qualifications (e.g. GCSE, NVQ, Diploma)
*Basic Food Hygiene
*Previous experience of using Production Technology e.g. Barcodes, Scanners.
*Good basic IT skills

The starting salary for this role will be £15,600 and will increse to £16,629 after 12 weeks probation has passed
