The University of Buckingham is delighted to work with Premier Pathways on this innovative route into teaching. The experience gained as a TA will be invaluable as an introduction to teaching and school life, and can only be beneficial for tomorrow’s teachers to excel in their craft.”

Professor Geraint Jones, Dean of Education, University of Buckingham
The Premier Pathways Programme is an innovative PGCE initiative that offers aspiring teachers with a unique opportunity to develop their teaching abilities within one school environment over a two-year programme. Commencing the programme as a Teaching Assistant and progressing at a pace that suits them, graduates are given the requisite time and guidance to enjoy and excel throughout their teacher training.

With no tuition costs and an average annual salary of £15,000, few PGCE programmes can rival the financial benefits that Premier Pathways can offer. Working full-time within the same school ensures that every trainee is not only well-paid as they obtain their PGCE, but also vastly experienced by its completion. With the transition from trainee to qualified teacher a seamless and effortless process, every Premier Pathways graduate is guaranteed to be completely prepared for their NQT year by the time they receive their PGCE.

Obtaining your PGCE has never been made so accessible, rewarding and straightforward. If you are a purposeful and highly academic graduate with a palpable passion for education, then you may just have the attributes required to enrol upon our exceptional programme.
