Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to join a successful business based in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop a career within Finance due to the blend of this varied role.

Reporting to the Finance Controller; you will be providing effective day to day accounts support across all aspects of the department.

My client offer a fantastic, dynamic working environment with free parking on-site however the office is also easily reachable via public transport.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Carrying out credit control duties (telephone calls, sending email/letters, updating electronic log)
* Taking and reconciling payments - ebit/credit card & cash
* Sales Ledger & Purchase Ledger duties
* Bank posting and reconciliations
* Inter-company reconciliations
* Checking and processing payments
* Filing annual returns, company accounts
* Petty cash office
* Producing budget reviews
* Ad-hoc duties as requested & day to day operations of a busy finance department

Skills & Experience Required:

* Minimum 12 months Accountancy & Finance experience
* Excellent IT skills and use of Microsoft Office Packages (especially Excel)
* Currently studying or qualified AAT or equivalent qualification
