We have an exciting new vacancy for an experienced Residential Childcare Worker working with children and young people with EBD in the New Forest.

Your role will be to provide 1:1 support to children aged 6 - 17 in a small, 2 bedded residential home. The home caters for short to medium term placements, so you will have the opportunity to undertake a lot of transitional work with the young people to enable them to move on from residential care and back into their family or foster home. You will play a vital role in helping each child to achieve their individual outcomes.

You will provide a safe and secure environment for the young people who live here, as well as valuable structure and routine. Most young people come into this home will have suffered from trauma in their lives, and therefore an understanding of attachment would be beneficial within this role.

You will be working for a small, non-corporate company who are completely child focused, with very hands-on and supportive directors. You will receive lots of supportive supervision and work with some very experienced people within the industry, including the directors who have developed through the ranks themselves.

Crucially, you will be given the resources, the skills and the training you need to be fully empowered to support the young people in your care.

The salary for this role is around £20,000 - £23,000 per annum (inc sleep ins), with annual performance development reviews, and the opportunity to complete your Level 5.

To apply for this role, you will need:
- Experience in residential child care
- NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People`s Workforce
- Be over the age of 21
- Be a driver with your own vehicle
