We have a great opportunity for an experienced Children`s Support Worker to join part of the Care team at a fantastic residential school in North Bristol / South Glos.

The school provides alternative education and residential accommodation for children aged 6 - 19 with learning disabilities, special educational needs and challenging behaviour. As Support Worker you will join one of the residential homes on site, supporting the children in their day to day activities.

This is a brilliant service to work for in a beautiful location. You will have the opportunity to work amongst a wide variety of professionals from art therapists, rhythmic masseurs, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and more.

The school has an holistic approach to education and care, and are committed to helping the children develop strong social and independence skills. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference to a young persons life.

To apply for this role you will need to have at least 2 years experience working with children with learning disabilities and/or special educational needs and challenging behaviour. Ideally you will have experience working with children with epilepsy, and have training in PBM, Team Teach or similar.

A driving licence is not essential, however you will need your own transport to get to the site as it is not easily accessible by public transport.

Salary is £16,000 - £17,500, plus benefits including:

Hours of work are 42.5 per week over 5 days, between the hours of 7am - 8pm.
