Preetha Sampath is currently recruiting for an Engineering Maintenance Manager to join a world leading healthcare company based in Woking on a full time, permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be joining a company that employs more than 5000 people worldwide and operates in around 150 countries, with a significant global market share.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:
-Responsibility for all Engineering and Maintenance activities on the site.
-Define the various yearly road maps with respect to Engineering and Maintenance activities including any related CAPEX and NS spending.
-Implement, respect and where appropriate develop quality standards (GMP) for the engineering and Maintenance teams/departments.
-Liaise with all external agencies (PI, EA, NACTSO and HSE etc) as per various licences (SAPO, EA permit, Management agreement and Hazardous waste etc).
-Responsibility for implementing continuous improvement processes, to develop a planned engineering environment and avoid reactive and breakdown scenarios. To include planning and scheduling, RCA type approaches etc.
-Liaise and report into the Engineering corporate team as required i.e. monthly reporting on projects and finance (CAPEX/NS) follow up.
-Organize and lead projects to improve the overall performance of the Engineering and Maintenance in terms of productivity, flexibility, compliance and costs.
-Develop his/her team using coaching, talent management and succession planning approaches.
-Define/promote and sponsor operational excellence programs and drive all actions aimed at continuous process improvement
-Be ready for and take the lead as required for any internal/external audits (GMP, HSE and Biosecurity etc).
-Act as site director and obtain the relevant GoA from the site director when he/she is off site.

The Engineering Maintenance Manager is expected to have the following Qualification, skills and Experience:
-Strong engineering/maintenance knowledge and experience of working in a managerial position
-In-depth experience of production of veterinary/human medicines within a Quality Assurance environment.
-Knowledge of HSE, Biosafety and GMP regulations, as well as main tools and principles of the operational excellence (lean sigma, etc.).
-Excellent organizational, communication and man management skills.
-Capable to innovate and to challenge the current processes, organizations.
-Capable to adapt to an ever changing environment and to manage his/her teams through change cycles.
-Good IT skills (word, excel, power point, minitab, visio etc).
