Assignment: Temporary, 2 months initially
Salary: £7.85 up to £8.25

Our client a Higher Education sector is looking for a Housekeeper to assist with the day to day running of the housekeeping department, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and service within the bedrooms, back of house and public areas, as set out by the specified standards. To service bedrooms and public areas as and when required.


-Communicate on a daily basis with the Head Housekeeper to ensure effective running of the department

-Ensure members of staff within the your area including yourself, are clean, smart, presentable and wear the correct corporate clothing whilst on duty

-Deliver a customer focussed level of service by prioritising and organising tasks

-Handle basic issues regarding staff queries and customer complaints, liaising with and reporting, if necessary to the Head Housekeeper

-Attend Personal Development Reviews and Job Chats

-Communicate with other departments when necessary

Policies and Procedures

-Attend departmental meetings and any other meetings as appropriate

-Adhere to the correct use and storage of all chemicals, materials and equipment within the department, in accordance with COSHH regulations

-Adhere to all Fire, Health & Safety regulations

-Comply with all University and HAS policies, procedures and standards

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required



-Good interpersonal skills

-Professional and positive attitude

-Good customer service skills

-Ability and to organise and plan work

-An ability to work accurately with good attention to detail

-Supervisory experience with the hospitality industry

-Ability to work effectively as part of a team

-Security awareness

-Ability to undertake physical duties
