Due to an exciting period of expansion and growth I am actively seeking several residential support workers to join a warm and friendly, GOOD rated children`s residential service in South Birmingham.

You will become a pivotal part of a child friendly provider and work closely within a staff team who is managed professionally and effectively by a care focussed registered manager.

You will be employed on a full time basis and work a rolling rota which will consist of one day on, two days off, as well as sleep ins. You will be required to cover weekends and bank holidays as part of your contract.

You will play a key role in delivering care that promotes independence and social and emotional wellbeing and you will be responsible for maintaining appropriate routines, limits and boundaries. All care delivered will be in line with company and OFSTED policies and procedures and you will also be responsible for administrative tasks such as care and support planning, reviews and staff meetings.

You will also receive additional training as part of the support worker job role.

A professional, calm yet caring approach and a "can do" attitude are all essential to be successful in the role of support worker.

Applications will be considered from support workers who can demonstrate a proven background within children's residential care settings and hold the QCF level 3 in children and young people or equivalent. You will have flexibility to work a varied shift pattern including sleep ins. Although not essential. a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is desirable.

If successful, you will receive a highly competitive salary up to £17000 per annum dependent on relevant experience and qualifications. You will also be rewarded with a competitive sleep in allowance, on going training and development, genuine progression opportunities and 5.6 weeks annual leave.
