Support workers needed for residential care for adults with learning disabilities in Brighton.

Your new support work job

You'll be required to work with residents and will encourage and assist them to be as independent as possible. You will assist with the implementation of support plans, personal care, and the organisation of activities. You will support service users in all aspects of their lives both emotionally and physically. Working with higher management you will unsure the upkeep of high standards in accordance with CQC requirements. You will be flexible with hours and willing to work a variety of shifts. You will ensure the home maintains a safe working environment and follow the organisations policies, procedures and codes of practice. Your duties may also include the organisation and administering of medications and other medical care in line with service users support plans. You will ensure the wellbeing of the residents by raising any concerns to your line manager.

What you'll need to succeed

You will require a caring, patient and helpful nature. Recent experience within social care and support work is essential. Drivers with own transport are preferred. An enhanced DBS check will need to be completed before commencement of work, of which costs will be covered by Hays.
