Vehicle Technician - Prestige Car Dealership - North West London
Salary: £24,000-£28,000 Basic + Overtime + Bonus + OTE £36,000-£40,000

Vehicle Technician/ Motor Technician for our client a well renowned and highly successful Car Dealership Group based in the North West London area is looking for a fully qualified and experienced Vehicle Technician to join their team. You must have either City and Guilds or NVQ level 3 qualifications in vehicle service and repair and be a fully qualified Car Technician with at least two-three years recent experience post qualifying and have good experience as you will be replacing a lot of major components, dealing with engine strip downs and gearbox overhauls. The ideal Technician must have a proven track record within a recognised dealership or franchise.

You will be working alongside four other technicians, so it is essential that you are a team player, able to work to deadlines and targets but also be self-motivated, organised and able to multi task.

Vehicle Technician/ Motor Technician Job Responsibilities include:

- To carry out service, diagnostic and repair work efficiently and competently to manufacturer standards in order to achieve customer satisfaction. The job will focus particularly on the accurate prognosis and first time repair of faults in mechanical and electronic systems of vehicles.
- Carry out work as agreed with the customer via the repair orders, within a reasonable time. Must work to first time fix principles and be aware of the responsibility to rectify poor workmanship.
- Must be aware of and comply with all legal aspects relating both to maintenance and repair of motor vehicles plus Health and Safety at Work.
- Work to the highest quality standards expected in a workshop, including the approach to and execution of work, tidiness or working area and care in the handling of all vehicles, equipment, diagnostic tools and technical information systems.
- Support and promote the concept of customer satisfaction.
- Ensure quality of work undertaken by trainees under supervision meets the highest manufacturer’s standards.
- Carry our service, diagnostic and repair work, as directed.
- Record work done, time taken and advise on additional work required to customers' vehicles.
- Carry out warranty repairs as directed, returning displaced material to correct location and in correct condition.
- Attend training activities (in-dealer or Manufacturer) as directed, to gain new knowledge and skills and also to ensure knowledge is up to date to meet with latest developments.
- As a Skilled Technician, act as adviser on diagnostic matters to both colleagues and customers as necessary.
- Able to carry out tasks as requested.
- To make full use of special tools and electronic service test equipment to improve customer service levels and workshop efficiency.

To comply with all the Quality Standards agreed within the Company and to have personal responsibilities for the application of the Dealership Policy and Procedures.
A full and valid UK driving licence
