Our client in Eccles is a worldwide manufacturer and supplier of plastic components. Their site in Eccles is a large scale operation and they urgently require a Plastics Extrusion Operator for a temp-to-perm placement.

- You must have a full and clean UK driving license
- You must posses a valid and in-date Counterbalance FLT certificate
- Have a background in Production, Manufacturing or Assembly Work
- Proven experience of 5S and continuous improvement
- Intermediate Excel skills as well as Word and Powerpoint packages.

- The job purpose is to ensure all products are manufactured in accordance with supplied formula or specification, through safe and effective operation of the production equipment.
- To support and adhere to all company procedures, to embrace new ways of working to help develop and improve Plant efficiencies.
- Safe operation of a wide range of blending and extrusion machinery
- Producing goods according to the Manufacturing instructions/specification, highlighting any production problems to Lead Operative and instigating corrective action where possible.
- Ensuring that rejected or suspect product is segregated and clearly identified working to minimise manufacturing losses (and report losses where appropriate).
- Report any defects in plant or product to Lead Operative and to ensure job related company protocols and procedures are being followed.
- Ensuring packaging and any special labelling requirements are followed.
- Ensuring all line clean down and QT sampling procedures are being followed.
- Actively liaising with other Manufacturing Personnel, QT Technicians, Engineers, warehouse personnel etc, as required to deliver a quality product.
- Working within company guidelines concerning health safety and quality issues.
