About the Company

Operating for over 50 years, this company are now run by a young team who strive to push the business forwards. As a trade only wholesaler they have built an excellent reputation for their high standards of client care and friendly helpful staff. They are now looking to add to their successful team of Customer Account Managers.

What will your working week be like?

Your role will be to look after all aspects of clients’ requirements, working within a team to maintain long term relationships and maximize sales opportunities. The role is varied and interesting and can be broadly split into 2 areas:

Service & Sales

First and foremost, you’ll ensure that your clients receive the best service from one point of contact. You’ll make sure that your clients are looked after while always looking for opportunities to upsell and go further.

Relationships & Growth

You’ll have a list of clients for whom you’ll be responsible. By building relationships with them and providing an excellent service you’ll keep them coming back. They are your clients so treat the role like you’re running your own business and you will be hugely successful.

Who will suit this role?

Experience in sales of tangible products in a business to business environment is a big advantage. A friendly personality and ability to win clients over are also essential.

Technical knowledge is not required but you must demonstrate a willingness to learn and understand client’s needs.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic to learn, demonstrate drive and a desire to provide the highest level of service and recognise opportunities to upsell.

Principle duties and requirements include:

  • The ability to identify opportunity and capitalize on it to effect growth
  • A high level of initiative and ability to work independently
  • The ability to work and interact with client senior level staff, engineers and administrative staff
  • Commercial acumen (understanding profitability and costs)
  • Exceptional communication: both written and spoken.
  • Coordinate work flow with other team members
  • Able to analyse and interpret data rapidly and effectively to provide customer insight
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • A good level of IT competency
