This is a new role at one of the most sought after and established blocks on the river Thames. This fabulous role has been designed to bridge the gap between the duties performed by the Head Porter and the supervisory role of the Managing Agents. As such, a prime requirement is that the Building Manager is an efficient and well organised Administrator able to produce clear and comprehensive reports.

Overview

As Building Manager you will be expected to be pro-active in checking the status of the

Estate internally and externally and in dealing with any faults or flaws in the workings of the plant and machinery, in the cleanliness, health & safety and the regular maintenance programmes and inspections of the Estate.

A further important requirement is that you’ll be confidently able to produce regular reports to the Managing Agents on any issues which arise from any of the above mentioned inspections or from complaints from residents.

In this role you will not be expected to be an expert in any aspect of Building or Electrical and Machinery functions, although any background building knowledge would help. You should develop a reasonable working knowledge of the main issues which can affect the Estate and to make use of the knowledge of the appointed Managing Agents and Building Surveyor.

You will also fulfil the role of Porter and Concierge from the Porters’ Desk when his other duties allow and, in particular, will need to cover the Head Porter when he is not present due to lunch breaks, holidays or absent through illness.

The successful candidate must have the personality and the ability to deal with owners and residents in a courteous, friendly and efficient manner.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
