Working independently and being responsible for initiating and completing tasks and procedures including the supervision of others.

• Reporting to a senior QS with a concentrated focus on enhancing financial performance and working accordingly with company processes and procedures.

• Developing a good understanding of the wider aspects of health and safety and environmental law

• Using CAFM platform to demonstrate company values to clients

• Maximizing cash flow through timely preparation of valuations submission of invoices and receipts of payments.

• Understanding the project measures and performance criteria and influencing the performance of suppliers and teams against these metrics.

My Client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to support a Facilities Management contract delivering both Hard & Soft FM services in Didcot Oxfordshire. T The contract is circa £2.5M per annum plus Reactive works and will involve the management of Planned and Reactive works, with additional small Project works with full Facilities Management with both a direct labour and subcontract service delivery model. The role itself will include procurement of both services for planned, reactive works and
small project works, monitoring costs, managing subcontract and supplier payments, raising applications and dealing with any variations or indexation of contracts as well as month end reporting. It is beneficial to have experience in M&E contracts and a knowledge of M&E systems would be advantageous, However this is not essential. Experience of CAFM (Computer-Aided Facility Management) systems would be a benefit. The package itself will include a Car + Benefits and a basic salary of up to 45k.


• Desired CSCS card ·

• RQF Level 4 in a relevant subject ·

• BiFM or RICS to Student or Associate level ·

• Minimum 3 years QS experience,

• Sharing best practice and knowledge of IT Platforms with the wider commercial team

• Good understanding of employment law with regard to issues surrounding TUPE and pension obligations and understand when to enlist professional help,

• Procure services and materials in an efficient manner with organizations in accordance with company policy.
