Our client based in corporate head offices in Slough are looking for an experienced supply chain / procurement professional to join their busy, growing Project Management Office. This is an ideal opportunity for some one to take on a brand new role and make it their own. This company offer real career progression for talented professionals that are real self starters. Ideally you would need to be able to start in June.

THE ROLE:-

The Supply Chain Controller is responsible for managing the Supply Chain from Suppliers through to delivery to customers. The role will require interaction with Suppliers, internal staff and customers to ensure a smooth and transactionally accurate supply flow for the major customer projects. Management is also required of the internal systems and SAP to ensure accurate master data and purchase order flow through to product receipt. Also essential for the role is continuous development of the supply flow processes to drive efficiencies as we develop and expand the supply base.

DUTIES:-

* Management of suppliers for the transactional flow of purchase orders and stock
* Raising Purchase orders to suppliers and order progression through the internal systems
* Raising of part nrs & managing the product data on the systems
* Ensuring a SOX compliant accurate transactional flow for cross docking and direct shipping of orders to customers
* Participate and lead initiatives to improve the efficiency of the working relationship with Suppliers through to customer deliveries
* Manage Carrier relationships and escalations
* Development of supplier documentation flow to ensure efficient processing for Finance, Supply Chain, Booking of deliveries, accuracy of documentation
* Able to communicate with customers and suppliers at all levels from functional contributors to business leaders
* To be able to co-ordinate and manage complex issues with multiple suppliers, partners and stakeholders
* Active contributor to continuous improvement initiatives across the Supply Chain through suppliers, warehousing, stock levels, systems, partners.
* Reporting of KPIs across the supplier base and continuous improvement
* Ensuring SOX compliance across the Supply Chain

The ideal candidate will have 4/5+ years supply chain / purchasing experience ideally within project management in a manufacturing or installation type industry. We are looking for a real self starter that is serious about their career and wants to make a difference. Knowledge of SAP would be great but not essential.
