My client is a leading start up based in central London. They have secured over £100m in funding, revenues doubling this year, strong cash flows and a confident road map to IPO in 1-2 years, this is an extremely exciting & entrepreneurial company.

If you are an energetic, motivated qualified accountant looking for an interesting alternative to a standard Financial Controller role

Your primary role as Financial Controller is to lead global reporting, while overseeing a team of 6, and assisting the Finance Director.

Your role will include:

• Owning global financial and management reporting
• Liaising with international accountants to coordinate consolidated accounts
• Production and presentation of monthly financials within the board report
• IFRS reporting
• Cash flow forecasting and budgetary control
• Managing 6 team members of Finance staff
• Producing annual budgets to support key strategic decisions across the business
• Organising and liaising with external auditors
• Ensuring the company correctly complies with all VAT and Corporation Tax legislation in all the jurisdictions in which it operates
• Supporting the Finance Director in establishing and maintaining a robust process for financial control and reporting of the company's operating contracts
• Integrating new business acquisitions into the ideal reporting structure


You'll have a sound technical understanding from completing your ACA, ACCA or CIMA accounting qualification. Experience of working in a fast-growing business to comprehend scaling the full reporting process to match growth of the company will be very advantageous. The ability to demonstrate ownership of significant areas of work is very important.
