Specialist Speech & Language Therapist (Part time)

Neasham, Durham

Salary: Up to £24,000 + Travel allowance

  • 24 hours per week

Prism7 Recruitment is looking for an experienced and qualified Specialist Speech & Language Therapist to join our client`s team in Durham.

Our client is caring and supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism in specialist hospitals or residential services across the UK.

The main purpose of this role is to make a positive difference to the people and their families by delivering person-centred Health and Social care that helps the service users to fulfil the things they want out of life.

Main duties of theSpecialist Speech & Language Therapist

  • As part of the skilled and supportive Multi-disciplinary team, including Advocates and Social Workers, the post holder will be confident at managing a complex case-load and be able to contribute to a rapidly developing service.

Requirements of theSpecialist Speech & Language Therapist

  • You must hold current registration with RCSLT and the HCPC
  • You will hold Post - Registration certificate and/or have experience in the assessment and management of Dysphagia with this client group
  • You will be experienced in working with adults with a learning disablity or autism
  • You will be experienced in the assessment/management of communication in adults with Learning disabilities, autism and behaviours which challenge
  • You will have excellent communication and organisational skills
  • You must be capable of managing your own caseloads autonomously
