PGL, founded in 1957, operates at 22 outdoor activity centres across the UK, France and Spain. We are the UK’s leading provider of residential activity holidays and educational courses for young people.
We are currently seeking to appoint a Maintenance Manager at Barton Hall, our activity centre situated on the outskirts of Torquay, Devon.
This is a permanent role and a key position on the Barton Hall team, responsible for managing a small year-round team of tradespeople and seasonal assistants, supported by a seasonal Team Leader.
A proven flexible and 'hands on’ approach towards this role is expected. Previous experience of facility maintenance and team management are essential prerequisites. Existing trade skills, proven IT competence and valid driving licence would also be advantageous.
Key responsibilities include:
- All aspects of day-to-day site/grounds maintenance, including evening support;
- Ensuring safe working practices at all times;
- Ensuring the team delivers the highest levels of customer service at all times;
- Plant management and utility management;
- Compliance with all statutory and in house requirements and the record keeping.
We offer a competitive salary of £21k per annum, working 42 hours across 5 days, free meals during work hours, with access to training and development opportunities and a free staff uniform. Accommodation is also available on site, if required.
This is a permanent position with an immediate start.
